R U READY? Decision determines destiny. You are where you are today mainly because of the decisions you made in the past, and the decisions you make today will determine where you end up tomorrow. We usually prepare ahead of time, before going to a picnic or a vacation trip. If we take our time to prepare for a weekend picnic, how much more should we be prepared for eternity? As they say, death and tax are inevitable. Death is the gateway to eternity. The word of God says, "It is appointed for men once to die and then the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27). It also says, "Prepare to meet thy God" (Amos 4:12). Whether we believe it or not, we shall all stand before God and give an account of our life on earth. R U Ready to stand before God and give an account of your life? R U Ready for eternity? If you die today are you sure you would go to heaven? Dont push these questions out of your mind until it is too late. You might ask, How can I be sure? The answer is very simple. The apostle John, in 1 John 5:13 says, "This things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life." God has an eternal plan for you that is much better than what you have for yourself. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts" Isaiah 55:8-9. Jesus said, "I come that you might have life and have it more abundantly" John 10:10. However, to get God's eternal plan for your life, you have to: Admit that you are a sinner. "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23). The Bible tells us that the wages (final consequence) of sin is death (physical, spiritual & eternal), which means being forever separated from God and living in eternal punishment. (Romans 6:23) Believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins. Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins so that we dont have to pay the wages of sin ourselves. "While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" Romans 5:8. Confess all your sins to God. "...but now God commands all men every where to repent." (Acts 17:30). Repentance is Gods command to all men every where. Not to repent of our sins by itself is a sin because we are disobeying his command to repent. Open the Door of your heart and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and savior. "Behold, I stand at the Door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him" (Revelation 3:20). Jesus also said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes to the father but by me" (John 14:6). Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart and asking your permission to come in. He doesnt come in where he is not invited. We encourage you in the name of Jesus Christ, to sincerely pray the following prayer: "Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that you died for my sins and shed your blood to cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I ask you to forgive all the sins I committed up to this moment. I open the door of my heart and invite you into my life. I accept you as my Lord and savior. I thank you for accepting me as your child and giving me a new beginning. AMEN" If you sincerely prayed the above prayer the Word of God assures you that you have become a child of God, "To as many as received him, to them he gave the power to become a child of God."
